MINUTES OF AN EXTRA-ORDINARY MEETING OF HARLASTON PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN ST. MATTHEW’S CHURCH ON THURSDAY 14th APRIL 2011 AT 7.30pm

Declarations of Interest  None.

 

Annual Return for year to 31st March 2011

 

Accounts and supporting schedules for the year ended 31st March 2011 were presented to the

            meeting for approval. The Receipts and Payments Account showed a balance at the year

            end of £7,987.83;  receipts for the year totalled £5,650.78 and payments £5,028.06.

It was proposed by Cllr Timmis, seconded by Cllr Herring and agreed that the accounts be

approved and signed by the Chairman and Clerk.

Annual Return for 2011 and the Annual Governance Statement were approved and duly completed. 

            It was proposed by Cllr Timmis, seconded by Cllr Mrs Turner and agreed that these

            documents be signed by the Chairman and Clerk.

All books and information relating to the Accounts for the year ended 31st March 2011 to be passed

to the Internal Auditor for inspection and to enable his report on the Annual Return for 2011

to be completed and signed.

The completed and signed Annual Return for 2011 and explanatory notes to be submitted to the External Auditor by 16th May 2011.

 

Urgent Business at the Chairman’s Discretion

 

Village Maintenance:  a further quote for grasscutting in the village received from ‘Mr Mow’ in the

            sum of £2,000 for the 2011 season.  Notice had been received immediately prior to the

            meeting and the third quote requested had been refused.

            The Councillors confirmed the agreement made at the March meeting that the lowest quote

            be accepted and Clerk to confirm with B & N Garden Maintenance the tender for this season.

 

Plans received:

11/00365/REMM – F W Rowe & Sons, Fish Pits Farm, Manor Lane, Harlaston – erection of an

            agricultural grain store.  Comments to be sent to LDC – alternative access should be made

            available as Parish Council has concerns regarding the use of Manor Lane for farm vehicles,

            as indicated in the Parish Council’s response to outline planning permission proposal

            (10/00137/OUTM)

 

Next Meeting in the Village Hall will be the Annual General Meeting on Thursday 12th May 2011 following the Annual Parish Meeting at 7.30pm.

 

There being no further business, the meeting closed at 8.15pm.
